The balls filled with water or air are positioned under the thighs, arms or buttocks. The resulting change in sitting posture leads to more mobility and tensions or blockages can be released. The newly gained body awareness makes the rider aware of his seating problems and new, improved movement options.
A crooked or stiff posture is often not noticed by the rider because the human brain always tries to compensate for it. You quickly get used to the “wrong” body feeling and it seems completely normal. When riding with the Franklin balls, the rider can develop a feeling for what he should feel like when sitting correctly. The rider's seat should be seen as a complex, interconnected system.
