Description
- allows complete darkening in the eye area thanks to removable, opaque inserts (made of padded and easy-to-clean leather material, these are included in the scope of delivery for both sides). Depending on your needs, the blackouts can be attached with Velcro straps in front of the right/left eye or removed completely. (> to the product video)
- NEW! NOW ALSO IN SIZE XWB FOR LARGE WARM-BLOOD HEADS (with a slightly different cut and extra width in the eye area; see also picture)
- breathable inserts for hot summer days can be ordered optionally (reduce sweating under the inserts on very hot summer days and are machine washable at 30°C). The indication for which side of the head the insert is required is “seen from the horse”.
- when used without inserts, the fabric of the “vet special” mask also offers 59% light/UV protection
- specially developed for horses that are sensitive to light
- acts like “sunglasses” and at the same time keeps insects away (fly mask with UV protection)
- consists of high-tech plastic fabric with sun protection effect, tested by the German Institute for Applied Lighting Technology
Typical areas of application:
Eye diseases such as periodic eye inflammation, conjunctivitis, corneal injuries, glaucoma, after eye surgery (e.g. vitrectomy)
Additional advantages:
- grazing and sufficient exercise even for very sensitive or sick horses
- can be worn without a halter, but also over or under it
- individual adjustment and secure fit thanks to two sturdy, wide velcro fasteners at the neck and under the jaw
- darts in the eye area ensure there is enough space between the fabric and eyes
- soft but smooth edging prevents chafing
- for the safety of the horse, the velcro fasteners open under strong force or the fabric tears
- to additionally secure the masks against being ripped off and/or damaged by other horses, we recommend the special halters EQ.STRETCH and LIGHTWEIGHT
