Medilusan® Vet – Wound protection with a breathable protective film

Medilusan® Vet is a protective gel for topical use on the skin of horses and other domestic animals. It protects wounds and injuries from contamination and external factors, forming a transparent, breathable film within minutes that adheres firmly without sealing off the skin.

Active Ingredients & Technology

Active chlorine derived from hypochlorous acid (HOCl) – produced via electrolytic activation of a saline solution; ensures a hygienic surface environment and reliably shields the affected area

High redox potential (ORP ~1,000 mV) – a technical parameter that supports a clean, hygienic environment at the wound surface

Silicic acid (5–12%) – responsible for stable film formation; shields the area from mechanical irritation and relieves itching

Typical Areas of Application

Insect bites, pastern dermatitis (mud fever), bite wounds, chafing, eczema, abscesses, rot/thrush, and general wound care for horses and other domestic animals.

Application

Carefully clean the affected skin area and pat dry.

Apply the gel generously so that the area is completely covered.

Repeat daily until the wound has completely closed. Shake the spray bottle well before use.
