Mode of action: The interplay of saline and Ectoin
The combination of 3% saline and Ectoin delivers a dual effect: the saline supports the natural cleansing of the airways through its osmotic effect, while Ectoin protects, rehydrates, and soothes stressed mucous membranes. Ectoin works through a purely physical mechanism; it is not metabolized and has no known side effects or risk of habituation.
