bitopEQUI® LUNG Complete – ready-to-use inhalation solution for horses
bitopEQUI® LUNG Complete is an isotonic, ready-to-use solution for the daily care, moisturization, and cleansing of horses' airways—especially when exposed to high levels of dust, pollen, and other environmental factors. Unlike bi-medEctoin® ampoules, this solution requires no further dilution: simply extract, fill the nebulizer, and you are ready to go.
How Ectoin Works
The ready-to-use solution contains 1.3% Ectoin in an isotonic saline solution (0.9% NaCl). Ectoin is a naturally derived molecule that has been extensively studied in clinical settings and works through a purely physical mechanism: it forms a water-based protective layer on the mucous membranes, shielding them from pollen, dust, and allergens. It is not metabolized, has no known side effects, and does not lead to habituation.

Application
The solution is ready to use—no further dilution is required. Fill the nebulizer with the appropriate amount (10–50 ml, depending on the model) and nebulize daily or as needed. Daily use for approximately 4 weeks is recommended initially; thereafter, the frequency can be adjusted based on the horse's health status.
Hygienic Extraction – Spike System
To maintain the sterility of the bottle, the solution should be extracted using a cannula or a spike inserted through the silicone port in the cap. The optional spike features a flip-top closure and can remain in the bottle permanently—simply open it to extract the solution. Fully unscrewing the bottle is recommended only if the entire contents are to be used in a single day.
Use within 30 days of opening. The date of opening can be noted directly on the bottle.
